Sinds 2002 is de TrueGlide Guppie de gouden standaard voor handgemaakte, houten glide baits.
Verantwoordelijk voor vele tournooi winsten, grote vissen, en een volle kunstaas kast voor verzamelaars.

Een van de eerste dingen wat mensen opvalt aan de Guppie zijn de kleuren, tot nu toe waren deze alleen beschikbaar op handgemaakte en beschilderde pluggen van Joe Peterson. Strike Pro en CWC, in partnership met Joe Peterson brengen deze unieke kleuren nu voor het eerst op de markt. De kleuren schema's maken gebruik van speciale technieken met ook kleur of glitters aan de binnenkant van de plug, gecombineerd met weer andere kleuren aan de buitenkant. Dit evenaart de technieken welke Joe Peterson gebruikt op zijn houten kunstaas, verf insluiten in coating lagen voor een speciaal 3-D effect. Het vergroot ook de duurzaamheid van de laklaag en dus de kleuren, vis na vis! Strike Pro heeft zelfs de speciale 3-D ogen  kunnen namaken waar de TrueGlide pluggen om bekend staan!

Bovenop de hele mooie kleuren van de Guppie heeft deze ook nog eens een aantal ontwerp features welke het een top aasje maken!
De compacte vorm van de Guppie zorgen er voor dat de haken maximaal kans maken om de vis te haken. Terwijl de smalle ovale body de haken geod laten uitsteken, ook weer voor een betere kans op het haken van de vis.
Door de speciale vorm van de body maakt deze ook nog eens een hele mooie belly roll en schitterd mooi in het water.
Op de speciale schroef achterop de Guppie kun je verschillende modellen en/of kleuren staartjes monteren om de actie van de Guppie aan de omstandingheden aan te kunnen passen.

One of the first things people notice about the Guppie is the artwork. Up until now, these colors have only been available on the hand painted wood lures produced by Joe Peterson. StrikePro/CWC in partnership with Peterson are bringing these unique colors to the market for the first time. The paint schemes incorporate using paint or glitter on the INSIDE shell of the bait, in addition to painting on the outside. This mimics the technique Peterson uses on his wood baits, layering paint between topcoats for a 3-D effect. It also prolongs the color of the bait fish after fish. Strike Pro has even replicated the signature 3-D eyes that TrueGlide lures are famous for.

In addition to the obvious good looks, the Guppie incorporates some unique design features that make it a top fish producer. The Guppie?s compact shape ensures that hook coverage is always maximized. While the convex body shaping from the top to the belly exposes the hook points for better hook sets. The body profiling also adds extra flash and belly roll. The tail types adds an extra dimension. The Guppie features an innovative spring screw at the tail of the bait. Change the dynamics of the bait simply by screwing on or off one of the optional tail types.
